Join Dr. Louise Debreczeny as she explores providing context to learners for language acquisition. English is a low context time-based language, most suited to auditory thinkers, but most learners these days are visual thinkers, who think in a high context spatial way. In this workshop, we will explore some of the hidden assumptions within English, and we will look at how Arwood’s Vision Language Methods provide strategies for bringing in this missing context to our visual thinkers. Washington clock hours are available as well as a certificate showing the hours of continuing education you received.
