About the Class
Many families of children with special needs struggle with daily routines and activities. Join Maryjane Sander M.Ed. and Louise Debreczeny Ed.D. to learn how to help your child be successful in daily routines. We will be drawing and writing together about morning and evening routines and how to cartoon for your child so that they can be successful in daily activities. This can reduce tantrums and other unwanted behaviors. Kids want to do the right thing but often just don’t understand how. Visual thinking strategies are an effective way to help children learn how to behave and be pro-social in the family setting. These strategies can also be used in the classroom setting by teachers and paraeducators.
