Description

About the Class
In this workshop, presented by Dr. Emily Jaskowiak Ed.D. CCC-SLP, we will discuss approaches to helping children find success in school and other settings that don’t rely on an ever-increasing system of rewards and harsh punishments. This workshop will be grounded in the principles of Arwood’s Neuroeducation model and a “whole child” perspective.

What will you learn in this course?

We will discuss how helping a child learn a behavior and social concepts can be used as an alternative to “rewards and punishers.” Expect to hear how helping children find autonomy, connectedness, and competence can be at the heart of self-motivation and understanding when and how to help your child during moments of crisis.
