Description
This set of twenty-four Story Pictures offer young learners the opportunity to view a picture of people engaging in activities together and then tell their own story about what they see. Each Learner will tell a different story and have different ideas about what they see. After telling a story about a picture, the learner can draw the picture and then write their story about the picture. After they write their story, they can read it back. In this way reading is learned naturally through first telling a story, drawing the story, and writing the story. This offers learners an opportunity to engage in activities that provide opportunities to learn in the way that the brain works. We all learn best through engaging with stories, and we can form long term memories by drawing and writing our ideas. This provides the context the brain requires to make meaningful connections and retain what was learned, as well as the visual motor activity the brain needs for meaningful input of new ideas. The accompanying manual will give teachers and parents the information they need to support learners in a fun and engaging way. Let’s make reading fun and easy the draw, write, read way!
