Description
About the Class:
Do students truly learn when they can repeat information? Are “learning styles” real? How much of our brain do we actually use? Many widely accepted ideas about learning are based on myths rather than science, creating unnecessary barriers for both educators and students.
In this workshop, Dr. Robert Cantwell will introduce participants to common neuromyths and uncover the research behind how learning actually works. By rethinking these misconceptions, we can better support all learners—especially visual thinkers—by aligning instruction with how the brain naturally acquires language and meaning.
Through discussion and hands-on exploration, participants will gain research-backed strategies to move beyond outdated teaching methods and create more effective, inclusive learning environments.
This session is ideal for educators, specialists, and anyone looking to build a deeper, more accurate understanding of how students learn.
