About the Class
For many learners, “writing time” feels stressful and exhausting—but why? Traditional writing instruction often prioritizes phonics and memorization over visual processing and motor learning, making writing a frustrating experience for many students.
In this workshop, Dr. Bonnie Robb, in alignment with INSL LLC’s Draw-Write-Read™ approach, will challenge outdated writing instruction methods and explore how the hand-brain connection plays a crucial role in literacy development. Participants will learn strength-based, neuroscience-informed strategies that help learners of all ages develop writing skills through visual meaning-making, rather than rigid spelling rules or phonics-based stress.
By shifting to visual, accessible strategies, educators, parents, and specialists will gain practical tools to support students in developing writing fluency with confidence.
