About INSL LLC

At INSL LLC, we’re on a mission to transform how neuro-diverse learners experience education. We believe that every learner deserves a tailored approach that meets their unique needs, and that’s why we created the Draw-Write-Read method—a groundbreaking way to teach literacy by focusing on what traditional systems often miss: drawing as the bridge to understanding language.

Drawing as the Key to Literacy: The Missing Link

Many learners struggle with literacy because conventional teaching skips an essential step: visual processing. Drawing isn’t just an activity—it’s a powerful tool that allows learners to see and create meaning from words. When students draw, they engage their brain in a way that connects language, imagery, and meaning. From this visual foundation, writing and reading become intuitive and accessible.

The Draw-Write-Read approach empowers students to:

Visualize Concepts

By drawing ideas first, learners form mental pictures that lead to comprehension.

Create Meaningful Connections

Drawing helps bridge the gap between abstract language and personal understanding.

Build Confidence

Students feel empowered as they see their ideas take shape visually, reducing the frustration often associated with traditional literacy methods.

Dr. Louise Debreczeny, Ed.D.

Owner/CEO, INSL LLC

Dr. Louise Debreczeny, Ed.D., is a leader in neuroeducation with a doctoral degree from the University of Portland. Her journey into literacy education began when she noticed that struggling readers thrived when given the chance to draw their understanding before reading and writing.

With 15+ years of experience in public schools and private clinics, she developed Story Pictures—a program that uses drawing as a pathway to literacy, helping neurodiverse learners visually process language before decoding text. Beyond literacy, Story Pictures helps learners observe themselves, understand behaviors, and adapt to their environment.

Her background is as diverse as her teaching methods:

  • Conservatory training in orchestral performance
  • Service in the North Carolina Army National Guard
  • A 20-year career in horticulture

Through INSL LLC, Dr. Lou continues to pioneer innovative, student-centered learning approaches that empower learners of all abilities.
